Notes The Bitter Root River (now "Bitterroot") is located in the southwestern corner of the state. This scene is located about 12 miles north of Hamilton with the Sapphire Range in the background. This mural is one of six commissioned for the new law library when the east wing of the capitol was constructed 1909-1912.
