Notes This model is a study of a pronghorn antelope buck that is suddenly startled by a flushed sage grouse hen. Russell used a combination of wax and plaster with painted surface, hemp for the grass, and glass beads for the eyes. Wire metal armature, inserted after modeling, holds everything in place.
