Notes This humorous piece shows a grizzly bear sitting on his hind legs, with a jug of libation held between his front paws. He lolls backwards in a drunken fashion with a happy expression on his face. Russell often portrayed bears in a comic fashion. Clearly, he enjoyed their antics, which he likely witnessed while staying at the Bull Head Lodge in Glacier Park.
