Notes White silk taffeta Philadelphia Centennial Exposition ribbon with machine-woven design in blue, red, green, white, yellow, and black silk floss. Central portion has portrait bust in black of George Washington above a design of olive wreath and crossed American flags with 13 stars and 13 stripes. Identifying text above and below bust. Pointed bottom formed by folding back corners, has spread-winged eagle with stars-and-stripes shield on breast, and five arrows in right talons, all above a green mound.
