I am carving & write the people name on the cards for selling in Tiltons Sport Shop[.] 2 weeks ago I walked heavy on the snow shoe, hunting elk & killed an bull elk 1 miles from my home." Page 2 - "3 fts down the much snow up on Henry Moutain. I was awfull lonesome alone in my home all time I drove (sketch of a car) to Great Fall last week[.] I am not lonesommme here. Good business around here. Last spring I traded old D Soto 1934 for second couple packard 8. Good condition 125 hours[.] I use drive 45 to 65 mile an hour smooth on the road. Mrs & Mr Garret and I fished at Essex we missed you all passing[.] I thanked you for new box calibres[.] I will write again[.] A ver Merry Christmas and Best Regards John L. Clarke".
