Notes Frieze depicting a line of nine mounted horsemen and one riderless pony approaching tipis at left. First rider is signing to man on ground; dog stands below them. Woman with child is coming out of tipi. Buttes in background; three horses on high path above tipis. Travois at extreme left. The obverse of the frieze is stained light brown.

Clarke carved this frieze in the lobby of the Veteran and Pioneers Memorial Building, Helena. Wood donated by Anaconda Mineral Co
