Notes Framed crazy quilt of satin, velvet and damask pieces, each outlined in a variety of embroidery. Many pieces have embroidered design on them. Upper center has "GOOD LUCK' horseshoe of petal-shaped pieces around maroon velvet containing gold bell with embroidered masonic emblem above maroon velvet containing gold bell with embroidered masonic emblem above "Liberty." Lower left corner has 12" fan with 14 sections, each containing embroidered flower. Fan outlined with two rows of ovals and petals with letters spelling out "In Union There is Strength." Padded satin rosebuds in cream, red, yellow and blues scattered throughout remainder of quilt. 2.75" wide concave frame is covered with gold velvet, to which has been appliqued a triple row of petal-shaped velvet and satin pieces, each outlined in blanket stitch embroidery, and an asterisk in each center. Outer edge of cover held down with tacks. Back of frame closed by .375" thick board attached with brads.
