This painting was part of a series of illustrations commissioned by Fortune Magazine for an article which was titled "Anacaonda Copper."
Depiction of miners working an underground. The foreground is comprised of four miners, all wearing headlamps with battery packs. One man pushes an ore car, two men work with pry bars, and the fourth is only partially visible in the lower left corner. In the background, a fifth miner working with an air drill, is silhouetted against a a bright light in the opening of the tunnel.
