Notes The ground of the paper is a light tan and in the background there appears to be a faint image of a building. Just in front of the building is a lamp post, which is located on the proper right side of the painting. In the the foreground, in front of the possible building, is a wheel barrow filled with flowers. The flowers are predominantly red and gold in color surrounded by a lot of green leaves/foliage. The wheel barrow is green in color with two large wheels in the front. Each wheel has eight spokes. The wheel barrow has two long handles which have a stretcher in the center. At the bottom of each handle is a short vertical leg which helps support the handles of the wheel barrow. There is a woman standing in front of the wheel barrow and she is wearing a long brown dress and brown hat. It also appears she is wearing a neckerchief and wearing a blue apron and wearing clogs. Her left arm is extended out and in her hand she is holding a cluster of small purple flowers.
