Notes The painting depicts a scene in Glacier National Park. Beginning at the top - the painting depicts a partially cloudy sky with sun rays streaming down beneath the clouds. Along the proper left side of the painting is a large tree, which extends up from the corner and has branches that spread out across the sky, but not to the other end of the painting. In the middleground are several large mountains. Several of the mountains are quite tall and appear rocky with little vegetation. There is a small mountain in the foreground, on the proper left side, which appears to be covered with pine trees. In front of this mountain (now in what is probably consider the foreground) is a small body of water, which borders the tree covered mountain. On the other side of the body of water is a small hill, which is tree and grass covered. At the foot of this hill is a small cabin. The cabin is surrounded by larger pine trees. There are also more pine trees depicted in more detail in the very foreground of the painting. the painting is signed in the bottom proper left corner "ADOLPH HEINZE 1934".
