Notes 'Montana Mother' shows a fierce and protective mother grizzly bear with two cubs on a fallen tree. The two cubs romp playfully while the mother watches, alert for any danger. On the original model, the bears are made out of wax, and the tree is formed from an interesting piece of smooth driftwood that Russell picked up on the beach at his summer home on Lake McDonald.
