Oil on board painting illustrating a stagecoach driver with a whip in his hand. His helper is sitting on the stagecoach in the background with a rifle in hand and one of the horses to pull the coach. A dog is behind the right side rear of the coach wheel.
The background of the painting is predominantly light blue and the illustration is depicted in the center of the ground. The stagecoach driver, depicted at the very center of the ground, is wearing knee-high boots, brown pants, which are tucked into the boots, a long brown jacket and blue shirt with a neckerchief wrapped around his neck. he is also wearing a black hat and gloves. He is holding a long whip in his right hand. Behind the stagecoach driver is the stage, which appears to be red. There is a man sitting at the front of the stage in similar dress to the stagecoach driver. He, however, is holding a shotgun with both hands. The stage is being pulled by two horses and in the background a dog follows behind the stage.
