Along the proper right side is the Marine hospital, which is labeled so in pencil, above. To the proper left of the Marine hospital are the Navy yards, also labeled with pencil above. Two large ships are docked at the Navy yards. The ships are labeled above, but the inscription is unclear. Along the far proper left edge is, what appears to be, a lighthouse labeled "Parola". The artist has signed the proper lower left corner "Sangley Point / Cavite P.I. Oct 11. 98 / E. S. Paxson". The drawing has been framed with a wooden frame that has been painted gold; there is an off-white cloth mat surrounding the drawing followed by a gold colored wooden border along the inside edge of the mat.
