Notes Chinese yoke used to carry water, coal and other heavy loads. Hand made of a single piece of wood to fit across a persons shoulders with a burden suspended from each end. The ends curve slightly down form the neck. A .50" hole is drilled thru the wood about 1" from each end to fastne a rope through. The wood is quite weathered and grey, back edge has black grease, some wood rot in a 6"L x 1"W area along the top in back of the neck.
