Notes The donor's maternal grandfather, was stationed at Fort Union, MT with the Eighth Wisconsin Volunteers about 1869. This item is from his collection and possibly was acquired from Sitting Bull. Beaded shot pouch. It is a pouch of red stroud cloth with beaded flower design. Glass seed beads are overlay stitched to front of pouch. Design elements in white, pink, green, yellow, blue, clear yellow, black. Backed with light colored, loosely woven cotton cloth, binding of black cotton printed with white dots. Four finger-like projections at shoulder with black and pink ribbons. Backed with light color, loose weave cotton.
