Notes a. Dress. Has very full skirt, more than a full circle, 96"W, made of three layers of sheer silk gathered and gored having a short train in back. Bodice is sheer with gathers at the neck, shoulders and high waistband, which is 4"W gathered. Back opening has 38 loops and covered buttons, several missing. Sleeves come to a point at fingertip, are puffed at the top and fitted at the lower arm and wrist, where there is a closing with three snaps.
b. Under slip. Fitted, gored silk cut on the bias.Two straps with snaps attach to the dress at the shoulder. Side zipper closing.
c. Veil. Two pieces of netting, front 16"L, and back 30"L, are gathered onto a narrow headband that fits tightly over the top of the head with a stiffened 2"W upright crescent-shaped net tiara. Back piece of veil and tiara have become detached from headband.
