Two page illustrated letter. Page 1 begins "Peanut Dukes" followed with "We were glad to get your welcome letter some day ago but I forgot to write you for long time. Our busy in carving for St Mary Lake & here big Hotel sometimes Garret come here for fishing. Low lake is lights yet now and water run over the trees. A few day ago Buddy Clarke got Macknow and Big Brooks. We will surely try to get big Macknow[.] At the bottom of this first page is an image of two fishermen in a boat with lines casted.
Page 2 reads "Did Howard write you about drowning us down. When we speed through the big creek the water ran over us in the boat around against the piles with big trees. The boat got down we escaped from drowning, hold up in the big trees. There is an image of four people in a boat trying to keep a tree from falling on the boat. "Business is dull about selling the carving. I thik I mean go west & get job at Depeuse Plants when close the park. I will write again. Sincerely yours John L Clarke"
