Notes Depicts backview of man and woman in kitchen, she is washing dishes in a basin and he is drying them. Mosquitoes buzz above their heads. At bottom of sketch is written in ink: "Charlie Russell and Mamie Mann". At top is: "Mosquito Season in Cascade" with tiny mosquito drawn by that word. While his intended message regarding the flying pests is clear, the sketch also depicts a notoriously rowdy young cowboy turned suitor, so smitten that he was willing to lend a hand with the dishes just to be in Nancy's (Mamie's) company.
